VIDEO: BURNING THE GASPEE – THEY ROWED TO REVOLUTION
This 15-minute video tells the story of the attack on the British naval vessel, Gaspee, in Rhode Island in 1772. During this time just before the American Revolution, a British minister called this event the ‘first act of war’ by the Colonists against the British Crown, about 18 months before the Boston Tea Party. The audio and visual assets used to produce this video are derived from the production of a mobile app, Burning the Gaspee VR, an immersive history experience that uses Cardboard VR.
